Meet the Attorney


 

Thomas “Tom” Bowen, Esquire

Tom Bowen is both an attorney and a certified public accountant and has lived in metro Atlanta for more than 25 years. He is a graduate of Georgia State University, College of Law (97), and a graduate of the University of South Florida (BS Accounting 92). Early in his career, he worked as a property and casualty adjuster for an insurance agency. This allowed him to gain first-hand knowledge of the claims management process- from inception to valuation to settlement. He has since curated an extensive legal career that has included working for several international accounting firms, including PricewaterhouseCoopers, and becoming a partner at Bennett Thrasher. Shortly after leaving Bennett Thrasher, he became the Director of Global Indirect Tax for DXC Technology Company (formerly Hewlett-Packard).

Tom Bowen is very active with his support of education-related organizations and currently serves as a Board of Trustee for Clayton State University and is also a Board member of the Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC), the Georgia agency which administers Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship. Mr. Bowen was appointed and later re-appointed by three governors to the Board of GSFC. From 2006 to 2012, Mr. Bowen was elected and previously served on the Board of Education for the Dekalb County School System.
